Shafali Pillay joined the board of Paws and Think in 2021 and is the Director of Global Project Management for R&D at Eli Lilly. She’s accountable for setting the strategy, vision and providing leadership for the project management organization of more than 60 staff members. Shafali oversees the resource, financial management and personnel development to advance the research and development portfolio by driving operation, excellence and innovation.
The vision of Paws and Think aligns with her values and passion for people and dogs. She says the “ability to touch the lives of people and dogs to provide positive and meaningful connections and make lives better is always a win!”
Shafali brings to the board her strategic vision for a large organization and the ability to drive an organization to deliver on the vision. She says, “I am a people leader with a passion to create an inclusive authentic culture, and I bring the ability to integrate process, people and business to deliver positive outcomes.”
Shafali has over 26 years of experience in health care, including roles in academic and pharmaceutical industry. She’s served on the board of Intercollegiate YMCA and has been involved with High school Tutoring and Mentoring.
Shafali lives and Indianapolis. She grew up in India and came to the U.S. when she was 24. A fun fact is she’s lived in three continents and can speak three languages. She loves to travel, work out and spend time with family. She has two black labs named Moose and Cosby (not related) who love to explore trails and play fetch. Moose and Shafali are now a certified pet therapy team for Paws and Think and look forward to serving the community!
