Volunteer Application

Step #1:

Complete the online background check.

The volunteer background check is $17 payable online via credit card. Background checks are required for all new volunteers age 18 or older to ensure we provide a safe environment for all we serve. If you are under the age of 18, your parent or guardian will need to sign a volunteer waiver for you instead. Please email our New Volunteer Liaison at newvolunteers@pawsandthink.org to obtain a copy of the waiver form.

*Additional Background Check Note: You may see references to “credit reports” in the standard Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) disclosure from our screening provider, but please note: Paws & Think does not request, pull, or review your credit report, credit score, or other credit history as part of this volunteer background check.

Step #2:

Complete the online volunteer application.

If you are unable to apply using the online application, please email our New Volunteer Liaison at newvolunteers@pawsandthink.org.

When your application and background check have been processed, our New Volunteer Liaison will email you to provide instructions to access our volunteer scheduling and next steps for new volunteers. Please note that it can take up to two weeks for your application to be processed.
