Whitney Stevens-McBride

Volunteer Services & Resource Development Coordinator

Whitney Stevens-McBride is the Volunteer Services and Resource Development Coordinator at Paws & Think. She has worked in fundraising and development since graduating from IUPUI in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs/Nonprofit Management and earned her Certificate of Fundraising Management (CFRM) from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy in 2022. Whitney joined the Paws & Think team in March 2022.

She was drawn to Paws & Think because she deeply believes in its mission to improve lives through the power of the human-dog connection. “Seeing the faces of people light up when they meet a therapy dog is so special and will always pull at my heartstrings,” she says. “I also love our Youth-Canine Programs because they benefit both the children and the shelter dogs who are learning skills that help them get adopted into loving homes.”

Born and raised in Indiana, Whitney lives in Westfield with her husband and their two dogs — Lola Belle, a 6-year-old English Cream Golden Retriever, and Phoebe, a 3-year-old Boston Terrier/Pit Bull mix and rescue. In her spare time, Whitney enjoys taking Lola and Phoebe to parks and other dog-friendly spots, spending time with family and friends, reading, and binge-watching shows with her husband.
