Kelcie Meier joined Paws & Think at the end of 2022 as a board member and currently holds the secretary role. Kelcie works at IU Health as a Program Manager for System Support Services. Originally from Iowa, she moved to Indiana in 2016 for graduate school. She has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from IUPUI.
Two reasons why Kelcie joined Paws & Think is her passion for pups and community engagement. She says she understands firsthand the impact dogs can have on humans and other animals alike. Her goal in supporting Paws & Think’s mission is helping those in need to develop to their fullest potential.
Kelcie has two dogs of her own, Jax (pictured) and Ollie. She adopted them both from their previous homes, and she holds a soft spot for the experiences that adopters and adoptees go through to find their perfect homes (and to never give up in finding one!). She says she swears Jax is a human in a dog suit with the personality he has, and Ollie is described as being the best comfort companion that gives hugs immediately upon seeing you.
In her spare time, Kelcie spends time with loved ones and likes to be outdoors as much as possible. Her dogs have helped her understand the importance of getting outside and clearing your mind. And of course, fetching a few sticks!
