Kelsey Bishop

Youth-Canine Program Assistant

Kelsey Bishop hopes to become a jack of all trades at Paws and Think. In her role as a Youth-Canine Program Assistant, Kelsey helps with all aspects of the program from temperament testing to coaching young people during the program to evening care coordinating during the Pawsitive Corrections program. Kelsey started her Paws & Think journey as a therapy team with her dog, Winston. Winston has since retired, but Kelsey loved the mission so much she wanted to continue making a difference in people’s and dog’s lives.

Kelsey was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio and didn’t grow up with pets. It wasn’t until she married her animal-loving husband, David, that she found her love of dogs. Kelsey now owns two cattle dogs Winston, a blue heeler, and Wren, a red heeler mix. David and Kelsey currently reside with Winston and Wren on the Southeast side of Indianapolis. Kelsey and David have fostered dogs for many rescues and shelters in Indianapolis. Kelsey’s world now revolves around dogs as she has made a recent career change to a doggy daycare. Kelsey’s previous careers have always been youth-focused so the Youth-Canine program is the perfect fit for her. She looks forward to combining her two passions and making a difference in young peoples’ lives through the amazing dogs in the Youth-Canine program.
